We are delighted that the world premiere of the film The Vagabond's Garden by FILZ member Anna Friedrich will take place at Dok Leipzig 2024. The film will be shown on the big screen for the first time on October 29, 2024 at 6 p.m.
In her graduation film, Anna searches for nomadic women in Germany. She meets a journeywoman who is soon ending her four year journey, an activist who has decided to live in various caravan sites, as well as a former tightrope walker of Yenish origin and her granddaughter, who try to maintain life in markets and fight to preserve their way of life. Through poetic texts and images, the film outlines a new feminist concept of freedom that contrasts with the orderly German landscapes.
