After completing the work TTP, I was interested in working on an object for the new work that is not only fixed in a specific place, but can actually be found anywhere. The first thoughts about this came to me in 2020, when Corona was spreading in Europe. I was living in Zurich at the time and every second there was news about Covid and the atmosphere became more and more tense. Of course, this also affected me and I realized that my eyes reacted to the numbers on posters, advertisements or signs and I started counting down when I was on my way to the supermarket or going for a walk. It was like a reflex and once it started, it was hard to stop, so I decided to accept the situation. Then I filmed those numbers and made a countdown video from ten to one. There are currently four countdown videos, which were made in Zurich, Rome, Tokyo and London. In addition to the countdown video, I've also started making a countup video using numbers from all the countries I've been to.
TTP is a photographic work about a table-tennis table. I observed it from the window of my apartment in Leipzig for about five years.
In the window of the moving picture experimental garage .mpeg, FILZ regularly presents video art. Located on Lützner Straße 39 in Leipzig, .mpeg operates daily after sunset.
