A blackout is a loss of memory. Originally, the term was used in theatre, where it referred to the sudden switch-off of lights between scenes or at the end of the play. In the twilight of half-clarity one can grope for the way, look for the right rhythm. A space for encounter and intuitive research becomes feasible, in which chance, overlap, and contingency are determining principles. The museum as a poetic place and rehearsal stage in an over-illuminated world.
